As a young Elf in the Amber Forest, Osmos spent much of his time studying the portal to the Fey Wild. Despite using the portal on a regular basis, the Elves didn’t really understand how it worked. Osmos met an Eladrin on the Fey plane who offered to share this knowledge with Osmos, for a price. When he returned through the portal, he had to take with him a fairy named Goldenmist. Denizens of the Fey Wild were not allowed in the Amber Forest without invitation, but hungry for knowledge, Osmos broke Elven Law.
The fairy turned out to be a spy for the Winter Court, an evil congress of Fey intent on destroying the Elves of the Amber Clan. Warden Talmiel, the leader of the Elves, awoke one night to find Goldenmist at his throat with a dagger. Fortunately for him his ward of paralysis did its work and the fairy remained frozen in mid-air. An interrogation of Goldenmist revealed Portakis’ role in the assassination attempt and he was banished from the Amber Forest.
Like many other exiles and castoffs, he found himself in Amollo, armed only with the knowledge of one of the biggest mysteries in Okknos. He introduced himself to the summoners and was quickly welcomed for he knew things even they did not.
